I was finally able to code the settings in using BimmerCode 3.3. They emailed me saying the latest update from yesterday now gives us expert mode in ICM. Now I can customize Sport mode just like my F10 lets me. Yay!
This sounds interesting. Could you customize sport mode so that steering is more resistant than in "normal" sport mode?
You can't code the car to make the steering "stiffer" than BMW designed it to be. Otherwise everyone would have done it given how crappy it is.
Thanks. Some forum member here got it done through a special BMW mechanic sent from the factory, I can't remember the full thread but he was mega complaining and the specialist got it done apparently f85 level. I heard also (not verified) that those without any adaptive suspension have an OK steering feel as well as those with Active Steering option (verified).
I have active steering and still think it's super loose compared to my 05 AMG with hydraulic steering

I just coded both the FDS_POPUP_DEACTIVATE to nicht_aktiv (in ECU=HU_NBT) and QdmkfvSportIndividualisierbarDep to Individualisierbar (in ECU= ICM) using Esys. And I am am not seeing the Custom icon either.

Were you able to figure it out?

Alright I figured it out and got it to work. In addition to the FDS_POP DEACTIVATE and QdmkfvSportindividualisierbarDep, In ECU=HU_NBT you need to look up MACRO_FDS and change that value from only_popup to popup_and_config. Once I did that I was able to get the gear button on the sport configurator. Below is screenshot of what I changed.
