True! But then again Dinan is a weakest tune out there I think BM3 is very strong. I'm still going to squeeze most out of my BPC tune. Fight is not over yet

I think so. I met a vendor on a facebook page that already sells BM3 at a discount. He's going to let me know when they get the Black Friday deals.

The basic license includes One OTS map for your platform. So you can choose Stage 1 or Stage 2.

For the $150 map pack, you gain access to all maps available for your vehicle.

So if I buy the license, and choose a Stage 1 91 map, then want to try the 93 map, I would need to buy the map pack?

Hopefully someone answers Rotzy question. Meanwhile I'm just wondering if you get only 1 map - would getting 93 map be a better decision as I know 93 map can adapt to lower octane, within limits of course, but difference between 91 and 93 is not that much - so adapting to 91 shouldn't be a big problem? Not sure about it.

I am looking for a bit of a safety buffer on my motor, and was thinking about running a 91 map even though I use 93. But, I would like access to try it, and want to know if I have to pay the additional $150.

Yeah, that's a option too, to have some safety margin.
A bit off-topic. I've heard different facts from BM3 group. Some say even if you buy used license you get to chose 1 OTS map - which can be your 91 map in this case. Others say if you buy used license you don't get ANY maps. I don't know who to believe, but I asked PTF themselves and they said you do get 1 FREE OTS map even if you buy used license.

I plan to buy new, so no matter how you cut it, if I want to try a stage 1 91 and stage 1 93 map, kit would appear that I need to buy the map pack as well?

Correct. You would only get a 91 or a 93 map initially. However, BM3 is pretty accommodating. For example, I picked 93 initially, but it became scarce in my area. They swapped my map out to 91 and fine tuned it for me for free. I still have the 93 map downloaded, so I can technically go back and forth if I wanted.

BM3 told me that more octane is always better and to avoid going lower. From that advice, I would say it's better to choose a 91 map unless you are certain you'll always fill up with 93. I wouldn't say it would be dangerous to use 91 on a 93 map, especially if you aren't driving hard. It's just not as safe as running 93 octane on a 91 map.

And if money is no object, I'd say get the map pack right off the bat. That's what I will be doing when I go Stage 2... hopefully this spring.

I agree with this 100%. No matter what, I would continue using 93 in my vehicle, and it is readily available in my area. I was very happy with the gains I received using RC Ultimate on setting C, but wasn't happy with the light throttle shifting and some other wonky engine manners. I assume that BM3 Stage 1 91 will provide even more power than RC along with better road manners, and still leave some margin for "error" (bad fuel, overboost, etc.).

I, too, was hoping that the 93 map can adapt the 91 gas. This way, I don’t have to flash back and forth when I can’t get 93 gas on road trip......

Boost Target might be similar but 91 will target less timing.

Got it from p-xh earlier this and flash the STG 1 93 octane map. Install was pretty simple. A lot quicker and easier than i thought. I spent more time watching YouTube how-to than actually flashing it. Took around 6-7 minutes from start to finish. Had a very short drive after install and really like the power output, smoother and less laggy than stock. However, notice the car doesn't down shift when i kick down. Will do more runs tomorrow to find out.

Mine arrived too! Only it's a BPC iFlash cable Got some updated map from BPC (got for both 91 and 93). Going to flash it next week when I get time and then I'll post Draggy times.
