I hold my statement above on Tool. Was planning to see them when they were in Pittsburgh, but tickets sold out way too fast (and the resell price was astronomical). Wife and daughter caught them (and A Perfect Circle) at ROTR last month...
Same here with Tool. Was logged in to Ticket Master the day tickets went on sale at 11:50, tickets went on sale at 12:00. At 12:01 they were sold out. Original price was $50-75 and then resale was over $150 for nosebleed. Ridiculous. I know people that paid those prices but I just couldn't afford floor seat for 8 people at that price.

I did catch A Perfect Circle twice last year. Once in Nashville and 5 months later in Knoxville. Nashville was a much better show! They were fantastic but still....it wasn't Tool.

I feel the same way. Then there are the fans that say quit giving them flac because it hasn't released yet and be happy with they've given us. In the immortal lyrics of Not Now John, F ALL THAT! Bring on the new music. The new APC has only gotten my ears ready for more new music from the Tool guys.

So you say Wish Your Were Here and Dark Side of the Moon are better? The Wall got a 2 cd set. 2 better than 1?

Just my opinion but Ten was one of the better albums they released. Versus had a few decent songs on it but still maintained their energy, or what I perceived their energy to be at that time. Vitalogy had even fewer decent songs and honestly I stopped buying their cd's after that.

Funny, could have been my post. 100% similar experience.

That would be "in through the out door". Dated a nymph that went nuts when "In the Evening" came on. Which, is an awesome album in itself. Kept the brown paper bag on my vinyl copy.

BTW, Everyone should date a nymph once in their life...even knowing that it gets old after a few months.

Wow...100% agree. Some good tumes, dont get me wrong, but seems mainstream. Not an album (well, two albums) that I would put on and just listen to, way better music rom these guys.

I think The Wall is where Waters really started to press his lyrics and singing (Final Cut even more so) ...which really tore them apart.

Not at all. Quality over quantity all day everyday. Wish You Were Here only had a few songs on it but it absolutely is way better than The Wall. Just my opinion.

I’ve dated my fair share, but I doubt you’ll find too many nymphs around these days who even know who Led Zeppelin are. Wonder what you’d have to play to make them go nuts today?

Completely agree with both of these statements. The only thing that throws me off about this album is what Lars did with the bass during the mixing of the album. In order to keep Lars drums sounding the way he wanted, he actually had the recording studio lower Jason Newsteds bass levels to nearly inaudible. I always thought this was done due to this being the first album they did without Cliff Burton, but no, Lars is just a dick. If you ever listen to that album on a high-end stereo with some great low-end, the lack of bass being replaced with a "woob" sound is just a travesty. Gotta love Lars I suppose.

I have to say I've always admired his drumming....I'll say "style" as it's not talent, but his personality wrecks my opinion of him as a musician.

Absolutely fantastic album though.

I got it, but you failed to mention, and this is most important, that when it comes down to makin' out you put on Side One of Led Zeppelin IV.

Hey, no one accused Rat of being Mr. Smooth with the ladies. He messed up even worse later that evening in Stacy's bedroom.
