HUD display dirty
Noticed that the HUD projector is a bit dirty and has clear washing signs. Must have been the car wash or the service when they cleaned it inside. Am aware there is no need to dust it, but someone obviously has messed with it. One can tell on the projection that it is not as clear as it should be. What can I clean/wipe it with. I can see that there are (water) marks on it when exposed to light. THANKS!

I managed to spray leather conditioner down in there one time while conditioning the dash...talk about a murky HUD!
The only thing I had handy in the car to clean it was some sunglass cleaner and the silk cloth they have in those little sunglass kits. I figured if that cleaner and wipe is good enough for plastic sunglasses, it should be good enough for the lens on the HUD. Works whenever I need to clean it up. You can buy the kits at any Sunglass hut (free refills) for about $7-10. |

I've got a smudge on the inside of that glass (or plastic) cover. I wonder how much it would take to get it off so it could be cleaned. Is this one of those things where half the dash would have to be disassembled just to wipe off a smudge?

Only happened once (window tint guy messed up and a drop of suds ended up there). Cleaned with barely wet microfiber + dry one afterwards. I believe it's plastic there, so in essence any solution for glasses will work just right.
