thank you

thank you all for posting the prices paid. This helped me get a good deal in January 2016. I got about 16% off a 2015 X5 diesel which was sitting for about 10 month.

here are the details

2015 BMW X5 xDrive35d

MSRP 57,700

Space metallic gray 550
M sport 4,500
Cold Weather 550
Lighting Package 1900
Premium Package 2550

Total MSRP $68,700

out the door price $63,250 (California 9% tax and ~450 registration)

16% is a good target for a 2015 model in January 2016

good luck$

It was like pulling teeth. Although I found a dealer that would sell a X5 35d at Invoice + $500 (minus credits), there's no production slots left and I was in a bit of a hurry.

So settled on Invoice + $850 (minus $1500 option credit minus $1000 Employee purchase program)

Lease. 12K/36. 57% Depreciation. MF=0.00132 base - 0.00020 Employee purchase discount =0.00112

MSRP: 2016 X5 35d M sport, with options including DHP = $78,170
Price = $70,830.

I'll get an additional $1000 loyalty credit towards first two payments.
Who knows. Maybe the SAV $1500 Winter credit continues into Feb. Fingers crossed.
May get the CCA credit, although not 100% since it was an employee purchase.

Not sure if i could of pushed for more discount on it given that is a 2015 with an october build date. Hoping that its a good deal but im excited to get the car.

I got the deal of a lifetime from my parents local dealership back home (North Carolina) over the holidays. We were buying a vehicle for tax purposes (6,000+ lbs.) and the BMW met those requirements.

We've purchased several BMW from the dealer so we were given the Loyalty discount along with some others I'm not privy to.

Ended up trading-in my 08' Toyota Rav4 with 70K miles for a '16 X5 35i in Alpine White with Terra interior.

2016 X5 Xdrive 35i

Options/Packages:
Premium Package
Cold Weather Package
Driver Assist
Luxury Line
Standard Hi-Fi System
19" Alloy Orbit Wheels (swapped out b/c I didn't want the Pirelli's)
Satin Aluminum rails
Running Boards
Poplar Trim
Rear view camera

After all the dust settled from the trade-in and discounts the dealer's offer was $45,553 after paperwork and taxes. For some comparison, I was also looking at a loaded 2016 Ford Explorer Sport which after trade-in came to about $39k.

For another 6k the choice to purchase a BMW was simple.

2016 X5 sDrive35i

Jumped on a deal this weekend...

2016 X5 sDrive35i
Space Gray
Black Dakota
M Sport
Premium Package
20" Wheels
Rearview Camera
Surround View

$64,545 MSRP
$55,561 negotiated price (14% off)
59% residual = $38,082
Lease Payment = ~$650/mo (incl. tax)

...accepted a higher money factor (~+1% interest rate) in order for dealer to honor discount typo on the website.

Adjusting to a market rate money factor and solving for the same monthly payment, my negotiated price would have been ~$1,600 higher.

What was your sticker price? That looks like a pretty good discount and a good trade in value for your toyota

I'll have to check to be exact but if my memory serves me right, around $63,400

I was given 12K for my rav4 which was absurdly higher than any other dealer had quoted for trade-in. It was impeccably maintained and had super low miles. In a town where soccer mom are prevalent. So I assume they knew they could move it quick (also have a used car dealer on premises.)

The story I was given by the GM was bimmer had given them a year end quota for units sold. We negotiated on the 12/28 so my guess is he was a few cars away from hitting his bonus.

2016 X5

Looking into ordering 2016 X5 for my wife. It is going to be special order as dealers around here have so many options i do not need. EDMUNDS lists $1500 Option Credit and another $1500 SAV Winter Credit. Is that true?
From Edmunds web page Invoice comes down to $60k with these $3k credits down to 57k. Reading this forum I see some folks are getting 12% offf MSRP which would bring the car down to 54.5k. Is this really realistic since it is well below invoice? Thanks for the suggestions and for reading this.

My config below:

Base Price $50,825 $54,700
3rd Row Seat + Rear Axle Air Suspension $1,545 $1,700
ACC Stop & Go + Active Driving Assistant $1,090 $1,200
Premium Package $2,320 $2,550
Driver Assistance Plus $1,545 $1,700
Driver Assistance Package $1,275 $1,400
Destination Fee $995 $995
CREDIT ($3,000) ($3,000)
TOTAL Invoice $56,595 MSRP $61,245

Deal or No Deal??

Got an offer for a 2016 X5 that has been used as a dealer Courtesy Vehicle and not sure if I should push harder for a better deal.

Specs:

2016 Black Sapphire Metallic 2016 BMW X5 xDrive35i
Black Dakota Leather
Fineline Pure Wood Trim
Cold Weather Package
Driver Assistance Package
Premium Package
Rear manual side window shades

The vehicle has a MSRP of $62,500 and ~1,400 miles on it. The dealer has made an initial offer of $55,000 + tax, title, etc...

Should I expect a better deal or is this similar to what others have seen?

Typically dealers who sell their loaner or program vehicles have been titled to the dealership. In the eyes of the IRS this is considered a new vehicle as it's not been titled to an individual owner. For tax purposes this would be a 'new' vehicle.

I only know this because I had been program car hunting in December to find a low mileage X5 that I could title to my business and get the tax credit.

Hope that helps.

You can do better on a new one. I got that exact discount ($7500) on a 2016 Sdrive with 80 miles on the odometer on January 8.

Can I do better?

Hi, I am new to the BMW World.
Last week I almost sign the order but cancel the deal at last time. With only 1.8% off. The dealer even did not tell me there is an incentive at that time (1500 value). So I look at this forum and write all the price you guys list and analysis it. First figure shows the discount percentage and number of owners. The second figure is the total msrp of the build and number of owners.

Yesterday I went to another dealer and found a fully loaded X5.

Base price: 56,200
Mineral white metallic 550
M sport 4,450
adaptive M suspension 900
Cold weather package 550
Driver assistance package 1,400
Driver assistance plus 1,700
Premium package 2,550
Multi-contour seats 950
Soft-close close doors 600
rear manual side window shades 250
HK 875
Smartphone Integration 200

Accessories:
Black kidney Grilles 160
Performance exhaust 1,180
Carbon fiber mirror caps 500
Stainless steel pedals 145
M side sill decals 215
M power kit 1,045
Carbon fiber rear diffuser 885
Carbon fiber front splitter 1,135
Painted rear Spoiler 235
Wheel & Tire Set Style 599M 4,165
Carbon fiber rear aero flaps 920
LED door projector 150

Accessories total 10,735
Net total 81,910
Total suggested price 82,905

The dealer provide $76,000 (including the $1,500 incentives__expire until 02/01/2016). This is 6,905 off, which is 8.3%. But the $1,500 incentives takes almost 1.8%. So it is actually $5,405 off.

It is a showroom car. Compared with other owners' experience. I think I can do better. But the manager is so confident:" It is a special edition. They only made 25 of this. I don't worry about it. It can be sold easily." Because they got two of this. One with white exterior, one with black exterior(the one be sold this week).

I really appreciate that you experts can give me some advice. What is the proper price you think. Thanks.

One more thing... I find from the equipment list, Priority customer: 2-Center own Use. What dose this mean? Is it different than the demo car? Is demo car the car you can have a test drive?

I am so sorry for all these questions...I really want to have a deeper understanding. Again, thank you for your reply.

Its about 6.5% off msrp + your $1500.. Push for 7.43% another $800 off. The truck is fully equip which is awesome. Consider if you have to pay for all those parts install it will be more than $800. If the dealer doesnt want to go down more get them to give you roof-rack and mats free.
A regular buyer wont buy that truck only an enthusiast.

My dealer has one exactly like that. They told me it was one of 100. If you go to cars.com they have a lot of those same exact ones for sale. Nothing on those is unique, any X5 can be ordered that way.

Because this car is almost match my build originally, except it does not have ACC. But I am not so sure about all the accessories. If the dealer would go down more, I might buy it. Otherwise I have to go back to my original build.

I just checked the cars.com and it shows some cars the same build. Within 5 hours drive there is a dealer provide around 78k. So I think I can push more on this one.

updates of my decision

Update: finally after so much researches and compares, I decide to go through Costco Auto Program...which I think is so convenient. Price is even lower than I haggled. It is almost 10% (including 3k incentives) off and within 500 miles no other dealer can match it. I am happy with it. Thank you all for the useful information.
