They are more angular so IMO they look much more agressive than 451's, why try to improve a design that is almost perfect, they end up "refining" them too much. Just do it, I will follow you. |

468's look damn good too. may just have to wait it out till summer, throw some snows on the 467's and see what becomes available come spring, 468's, 214's.. I need some guinea pigs to help me decide too! lol

That does look much better.. I have decided to take a free upgrade for now of the 451s and may be get 21" later. I still don't know when will I get the truck though. Almost feel like canceling the order and buying a 550 of the lot but I want a SUV. I have waited patiently for the 2014 x5 for so long, might as well wait a bit more.. The waiting phase is getting difficult to handle though..

^^21"s should be avaliable as an option on our builds, Mercedes ML and Porsche Cayenne do have the option, The X5 is a big SUV and it needs bigger wheels to really pop,
21"599M from BMW performance would have been my choice. |

I agree 100%.. I love those wheels but it is listed at 6k. I wouldn't mind paying the upgrade charge but 6k is too much.

Yeah I never understood why wheels like that are offered as accessories instead of options. It's not like you get both sets (unless you do the accessory afterwards). I have heard of some people getting credit for their stock wheels from their dealer, however. Worth asking.

Looking for a little help here...
So I too am conflicted about having ordered my x5 M Sport with the 20" M sport wheels. Like most people here I find the sport 20's to look smallish on comparison to the aggressive look of the body kit on the M Sport models.
I was further confused when I realize that what looked like the y spoke options on this pic below are actually a BMW Performance aftermarket option. See below: I also wanted to confirm whether trading the 469's for 451 would also mean losing the M emblem since the 451' are typically not a sport wheel. My SA advised that the y spokes do not look right with the M sport body as they are a bit more rugged looking and in his opinion would look better on an X-Line. Can anyone post some side by side pics or at least some pics of what the 451's look like on a M Sport model? I have a side by side from the configurator but this looks much different then the other real life pics I have seen. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. |

I also agree with this statement, 469 look more "sporty" & I personally prefer them over 451. There is a reason why 469 come standard with MSport

If you notice the 21"599M resembles close to the 20"Y 451. Fresher look than the 469 M that has been out for all M's for quite sometime now. It is all a matter of preference.

These would be about 6k out of pocket. Unfortunately these do not residualize into a lease.
