2006 X5 driver side multiswitch not working for other doors windows and mirror
I dropped my X5 off at a local mechanic to change the "Outside Door Handle Reinforcement" on 3 of the doors. They had all broken in the cold this last winter leaving me having to enter the vehicle through the last remaining door that worked in the back.
I left it with him while I was away in Mexico for a month. Now the multiswitch no longer works to control any of the other windows nor the passenger side door and the key does not unlock the other doors when I turn it twice like it did before. I brought it back and he went through his work and all connections and could not find any fault with the multiswitch or any of the connections. any ideas what could be causing this? The battery is nearly dead and it has been needing to get boosted pretty regularly whenever it sits for too long. Could it be related to this? Trying to source a battery for it and hopefully have one soon. Last edited by goodrob; 04-20-2024 at 10:53 AM.. |

I'd like to help if I could, but this is an F15/F16 forum and you need help with an E53. Bimmerfest has good E-series forums with some knowledgeable people that might have dealt with the same thing that happened to your X5
