The site is terrible. Mine says still in production but it got to the dealer today. Just call in and talk to the 800 number.

2-Nov-15- Order Documented- Shows a White vehicle rather than Gray?? I will be checking on this.
5-Nov- Dealership tells me my car has started production. Still shows "Order Documented" on web page.
7-Nov- 1-800# reports that production has started with a 14-Nov completion date. Web page still shows status as "OD".

Now the waiting begins!!
Thanks to you folks I am already researching mods and planning to learn to do coding like I did with my VW's. Just need to make sure they pass the WAF!!

Ordering tow hitch this week so it will be here when car arrives, hitch kit comes with programming cable so I won't have to order one.

12-Nov Update- Dealership called to inform me that vehicle has been completed and carrier has it. Now awaiting final confirmation of arrival day at dealer. Tentative plans to pickup vehicle at dealer next Friday 20-Nov.

Looks like 3 weeks from order to delivery.

Web page still is showing vehicle status as "Order Documented"

I have my car now. BMW site says it is still in production. I stopped looking at it weeks ago. 800 # was even a little delayed. I had my dealer look in their system.

It's going to be tight to take delivery before Nov.30 in order to get the finance credit. Keeping my fingers crossed.

11/6 order placed
11/13 car complete in production and in PVC
11/17 bmw usa rep says will be at the dealership

trying to contact the trucking company to see if maybe it comes earlier :-)

Hey guys, I am considering to pull the trigger, but I am now concerned, if I order now, I am not likely to get the vehicle until December.
There is a number of incentives that are said to expire at the end of the month, does anyone know if I sign the paperwork now, I can lock in the final price and hopefully have an option to choose better incentives if they would be available in December but still be able to fall back on November credits available now.

That is what my ca said, I was locked in on October rates and if they got better in Nov I would get those, which I did. About $50 a month lower than the initial quote.

17-11-15 - site still shows OD status. 800# says Nov.21 estimation completion date. Spoke with rep, says its actually estimated to be out of production today (Nov.18)!

Looks like I'm on track before Nov.30th.

11/22 - Vehicle arrived at dealership.
11/23 - Called my CA to confirm delivery.
11/24 - Picked up the X5 right in time for Thanksgiving! Got to drive around my relatives and show them what this baby can do!

From the order date on 11/10 to 11/22 - production and delivery took just under 2 weeks (CA requested priority delivery). Not bad at all!
