RTTI Not working

I have a 2014 X5 that use to have the RTTI service but I let the service lapse at the 3yr mark. The other day i decided to go ahead and re-up the service for $50. Unfortunately after renewing my subscription the RTTI is not working.
If I go into connected drive it shows my subscription is active till 1/9/2020
I also have a 2016 X5 with the RTTI still active and it works just fine.

Any thoughts on how to get this working?

try going from the iDrive into online services, then scroll down to "delete data" or "delete local data" (I don't quite remember which one it said, but both are there, just delete both.

then click update data for everything that you see

*Also, be sure that you have "dynamic guidance" selected

go to Navigation, then click options on the iDrive (button next to the Idrive wheel that has a gear shape on it.

also, in the maps menu, go to the traffic icon on the screen and check the options for traffic


If none off that works, from your iDrive menu, click on "customer relations" and then your car will call BMW and they could walk you through it. You might even get a free month of service for your troubles of not having it for a while even though you paid for it.

Make sure you have the "Receive Traffic Info" checked out.

I had the same thing happen. Called BMW and they walked me through it. Don't remember the exact steps.

Make sure the traffic is active and enabled on the iDrive. If no change in reception reboot the system manually. If does not change contact BMW they will go walk you through step by step (i dont remember if it was MB or BMW but they will send a refresh signal).

There is another big thread on this topic few years back. I tried it back then and it didn't work very well. All I got out of it was bunch of email and phone notifications which annoyed me enough to delete it.

Never had to reboot the F15 but past bmw cars could be done by holding down the power/mute button for 10 or so seconds.

Just to add a few words to the thread. I have 2014 435 that had been having rtti in 2020 and X5 2014 that had an option for rtti same time but I did not buy it then. So, after my rtti expired in 2021 I have decided to renew at least for one car and found that at ConnectedDrive web page this option is not available for both cars. I do not know why. Will call customer support to clarify. Also I noted they did not give any sales or Black Friday for their subscriptions in 2020 as well as no single notification that my subscription is going to expire. 😕

So sad. One more argument to inspect what android devices can offer. I like to see navi on head up display and those android heads or devices, as far as I know, do not allow that or are not capable to do that(((.

Well may be BMW will offer some sort of retrofit. You can help by calling BMW NA and complaining.

Happened to me as well but it did justify bimmer-techs apple carplay, MMI Prime which I love hands down over the idrive interface and can switch between the two with ease if need be. It can even run android (haven't tried but option is there) and screen mirroring, wireless too and for under a $700 and about 2 hours of plug and play and simple trim removal(video instructions are spot on) it was an easy install, and for those without eq like me it provides a customizable eq, music sounds way better than before. Also my mechanic updated my software which locked out my BM3 tune 🤬 I tried re-flashing and rendered the car inoperable, mechanic was kind enough to restore it for free. So I went with racechip rs, not quite the same but its a chip not a flash and combined with the XLR its enough. My BM3 license for the N55 is available if anyone is interested, just to pm me. Will post to classifieds later this week when I get around to it (can't do it from my phone).

Do you have HUD? Can you stream navi from that MMI to HUD?

Good morning,
I have a problem. I had ID4 with TCB.
I retrofitted ID6 with ATM, everything works (remote service open/close/clacson weather, news, concierge service) but RTTI worked the first few days, now not even if I have the active package.

Furthermore, from the myBMW app I do not see the status of the doors / car.

I have the following codes:
06AE Teleservices
06AK ConnectedDrive Services
06AM Navigation Assistant
06AN Concierge Service
06AP Remote Services
06NR Apps
06NS Enhanced telphony with extended smartphone
06UH Traffic Information
07S9 ConnectedDrive services package

Am I wrong something? Why is RTTI and last state call not working?
Please help me.

Are you positive that your updated equipment is known to BMW so that it didn't get shut down with the 3G sunset that is now in affect?

yes i know this, and i retrofit from TCB (3G) to ATM in LTE (4G).

I think Qsilver is asking if you notified them of your VIN having correct equipment. If BMW deactivates based on VIN's having 3G from the factory, that would explain your situ.

Full disclosure, I don't know how BMW deactivates services. Or even if they do at all. Maybe they are just let the 3G equipped X5s not connect anymore and do nothing on their end. I was just posting to clarify what Qsilver might have been asking.

ops sorry i not understand.

i think bmw know..
because i call connected drive and I got the icid of the atm that they see on the screen, and it coincides with the icid of the new atm 4g control unit. so i think the servers are aligned

Navigation all messed up

I am not sure exactly what happened since I did the last software update but ever since I did my Navigation is completely messed up. It no longer shows the RTTI with green, yellow, or red. While this is EXTREMELY helpful for me especially since I live in an area that is filled with tourists and travel times one day may be completely different from the next...Was it great to have yes and do I miss it HECK YES....but what is even worse is, the Highway and some Streets are not even correct. It shows a major HWY 98 as being HWY 30, and a private road called Calhoun Ave as being Hwy 30a which does exist but is about 35 mins down the road from me. I can deal with losing one, but if I am paying for Connected Drive, something about it should at least work or be accurate. Any suggestions???
