Screen Wash Tank Slow Fill

Hi All

Since new I've found that filling the screen wash tank takes an age. I literally have to trickle water in to the little filler inlet. It almost seems like there is an airlock because when I stop and let a few bubbles rise I can then go ahead and tip more in. I do generally fill up on my drive which has a slight incline, I wonder if that's causing a problem.

Does anybody else notice the same? I've had cars in the past that are slow to fill bun nothing like this!

Cheers

Well there is a long tube to goes into the actual tank which is in the fender. I have found instead of trying to do a really fast fill which means the air needs a way to escape back out, I do a slightly slower fill. That way I don't have to wait for the air to gurgle and I can hear the hose filling up so I don't spill. I think it's the same slower fill on other cars that utilize a tube to a hideaway tank.

Never had an issue with re-filling this. Something I do almost weekly during these winter months.

No issues with either X5's i've had. Takes 20-30secs to fill it all up.
