Marks on front rotors

So, I've got less than 1k miles on my X5 and have noticed these marks on the front rotors.

They are on both sides in the same place. They aren't scored into the rotor, but it still seems odd.

Anyone else have them? Or know what they might be from?

Yes. It is perfectly ok.

Okay for now, but obviously you'll need to watch them. On my 5 series all four wore unevenly and I had to replace all of them at around 50K.

I'd definitely keep an eye on it.

Did you do anything to treat it? I saw my hubs for the first time this weekend and it's really really bad for a vehicle thats garaged in California.

I just scrubbed the rust down with a wire brush on mine but am tempted to go back at it with some black Rustolium paint to seal the rust.

Some people paint it with high heat spray paint.. I'm not certain if cleaning it wouldn't hurt with a wire brush. I haven't really done anything to prevent it.
I do know that my previous E70 X5 hubs were clean and rust free for the 3 years I've owned it. My F15 got rusty the first 6 months of ownership.
