Yes, I have that camera.
Brought it with me today, I will do it at the end of day after I catch up with all of my work.

Awesome. I'm waiting for it to load, lol .

I really hope it doesn't sound like this. This one sounds like an old raspy muscle car - not a fan at all:

@opasha, video is up. That video you show me looks like from 5.0i base on the muffler tip, can you confirm?

No, the video I posted is from a 35i. I think his video just got stretched because he didn't capture it properly or something. Here's a video of a 50i stock:

I just saw your video...your exhaust is awesome now! It sounds just like my FX35 Gemini Invidia exhaust. Really nice thick/deep tone. Excellent mod, Ben!

No price for it yet, since I haven't finalize the prototype.
Still have slight fitment issue.
Power increase wise, I need to run a dyno in one of these days.
But based on my butt dyno, it should be around 10-15hp, which hard to feel on this chunk of metal.

@r33 Awesome video, so X5 actually had a single muffler with two outlets, all this time?

Did they weld the new one or clamp it? Just remembered the days of my Flowmaster 40 series.
Did you have a different thread with your prototype, what kind of muffler did you use? I wish you took a picture of your new muffler on the floor so we could see it.

Yes, 1 inlet 2 outlet for the 35i and 35d.
2 inlet and 2 outlet on the 50i.
Unfortunately, stock muffler is 1 piece from downpipe/catalytic end all the way to the tip.
For the prototype picture, I will show it off once I have the final product.
All will be Made in USA.

Can't wait to hear what you used for mufflers. It sounds really sweet without losing the sound at higher rpms, which is what most stock mufflers suffer from. It sounds good at low rpm, rumbles and purrs like a big cat, but the moment you rev it, it's just a noisy mess.

When you got a chance, take a peak under the car. It is straight pipe already.
The only thing you can do on the 35i is dp and muffler.
No point of changing the piping.
But, with dp, it will throw CEL. It will be automatically cleared if you have JB4 Tune. I will confirm once I have the dp done, supposedly next week.

Sounds great, Ben.

I dread the day you have to return your car. It's going to be an all day overhaul return your car to stock.

Great sound, r33! Congratz! I know diesels are generally known for bad sound, but does anybody have any observations on the X5M50D? Do u think fitting an aftermarkey exhaust would make sense on a diesel?

Even 12 hours seems like a long time. I've been so busy lately. I'll swing by next month to check out your ride. Maybe I might have to add some stuff to my car as well. I mean, that's what usually happens when I go over to your place.

It's been so long since I've driven my X5. I bought a Prius for my commute and gotten use to the 50mpgs and $40 for a full tank of regular gas.
