Calling all coding gurus

Hey Guys,

I had a posting earlier in the year (shown below) regarding an issue that arose following the latest flash performed while my X5 was in for service at the local dealer. Long story short, the horn honks twice if you try to lock the vehicle (either using FOB or CA) when the ignition is running. This is horn, not he quiet little chime or chirp that we're used to. It's so much of an issue now, but on cold mornings where I'd like to warm the vehicle up its definitely problematic (horn blasts at 6 am = mad neighbors). So I've been forced to sit inside the vehicle and wait for it to defrost, etc... which is a PITA.

My BMW dealer is saying that they can't reverse that action on the flash, and they're "unable to correct this change through coding". So, I'm calling on the coding gurus on this forum to help me...there has to be a setting somewhere that we can change, no?

In bdc_body, look for this code or something similar in wording: CLM_HORN_AT_SECURE and change it to nicht_aktiv.

Hmm, I never looked into that unfortunately. Maybe opasha can help further since my X5 is not in my possession daily anymore.

Maybe someone else can try. I have no time this weekend, unfortunately. I can try sometime next week.
