And I did use it a lot in Paris with X1 2017. For those who lived there you ve experience the challenge of finding a spot for more than a regular mid size sedan

I use it frequently in central London. As another poster said, it needs surprisingly little room to do it.

However, I almost always finish parking myself, as the car just won't put it close enough to the curb to suit my taste. Often it thinks its parked the car when there's 4 inches between the tire and the kerb - and for me that's not close enough. Still the automatic system does most of the work

Every now and then I don't use it, just to make sure I can still park!

The self parking is only for parallel parking, but newer models also got regular perpendicular self parking also is that right? Any way to code in the perpendicular parking into older models?
