Anyone with 30d/35d that had upgraded their intercooler?

Hello everyone, I've been doing some research online and found nothing yet, reason why I come to you for feedback.

I'm wondering if us with F15 35d or 30d are able to "upgrade" the Intercooler? I did that with my previous 3 series (320d) but even at realoem.com the information for the "Performance Package" available for the F15's diesel engines is kind of confusing. Realoem displays on the "retrofitting" area, the X5 F15 X5 30dX Power Kit as a whole but the also detail every "part" included on the package. (the attached screen shot).

I've heard that the X5 F15 X5 30dX Power Kit includes a "bigger" intercooler but when I use the part number 17517809321(which is supposed to be the bigger intercooler within the "power kit"), looks like it is the same intercooler that comes from factory

The part number 17517809321 is also listed within the factory coolant radiator mounting hardware parts :/ So is it or not a bigger intercooler?

In addition, anyone that could advice if there's a better aftermarket intercooler for the F15 30d/35d?

Really appreciate your comments

Are you finding your IAT's are higher than they should be? Unless you're planning to do some tuning or increasing the power/boost, the OE intercooler should be able to keep up with things. Given your climate, you "could" benefit from a larger intercooler, but IMO it wouldn't be worth the money.

Thanks for the reply stewy, I'm planning to do some tuning in the future and before I go with tuning, I always replace the intercooler before starting. I had a 320d and that was the first tune I made before tuning the ECU, replaced the factory with the BMW Performance Intercooler. Same thing with my M235i, changed to Wagner's Performance Intercooler before making all the other tunes that I've made so far.

I've been told that better/bigger intercooler helps in both performance and maintaining the engine cool. I had an experience with my M235i with the Wagner's Intercooler as the only tune made, I raced against a tuned M135i and I beat him by a little bit.

The temperature in my country it's between 25 and 32 Celsius (77-90 F) most of the time (10-11 months).

I'm still confused if the Performance Package really comes with a bigger intercooler, that part number appearing on both "factory stock" area and "retrofit" area, really has me scratching my head.

Have you ever found anything bigger that fits?

I searched for an upgrade, but no one lists a direct bolt on for f15 35d.

I don’t think this is an upgrade rather a retrofit to allow air cooling ducts for the M performance brakes, it appears the intercooler is thicker and taller but shorter (in length across) than stock.

So I did a bit more research on this topic on realoem. It seems like that the same intercooler (17517809321 Charge-air cooler) was used on for engines: 35D and 35i. (Engines: M57, N57, N54, N55)
X5 E70   (02/2006 — 03/2010)
X5 E70 LCI   (04/2009 — 06/2013)
X5 F15   (08/2012 — 06/2018)
X6 E71   (01/2007 — 06/2014)
X6 F16   (09/2013 — 09/2018)

So, theoretically, anything that would fit 35i would fit 35d the same.

This seems this might be what we are looking for:
http://www.wagner-tuning.com/product...0001125-1.html

Unfortunately, very pricey and not available until mid 2019. Also, might be an overkill.
