The lot was far from being full and if you paid attention to the parking lines the spot directly next to my driver side doesn't have a a full line aka not a parking spot which was why I moved all the way over for the MDX that was to my right. The horizontal line infront of my wheel stops under my car. The spot directly in front of my car (Durango) was my brother in laws car and we both picked those spots on purpose. Next to the Durango on the passenger side was a cement block which isn't a spot. Originally I was going to park all the way in the back where there were tons of open spots but my brother in law told me to move it there since nobody could park next to me to my left. Could a car park in the area next to me? Maybe a tiny car could fit but should someone? No.

I agree parking like a dick will get unwanted attention but I'm also not going to let some lazy ass squeeze next to me and the Gti when it's not even spot according to the lines and the amount of space between us.

That's weird, a 3 series did today and it fit just fine. In fact, that space is bigger than the rest of the parking spots in this lot.

Looks like a huge spot to me alan, everyone else in this parking lot was using one space without issue. Since when is somebody a "Lazy Ass" for parking between two cars?

What's the hard on for? Are you the parking cops or just one of those trolls that wants to police the Internet? Get a life.

Looks like you came back anyway, tempted by my fruit. I figured someone would use the old 'get a life' comment, but truth is that took all of 5 minutes to post up and what am I supposed to do? Sit back and let Alan spew ? Please. I am sorry that you are too sensitive to take a little bit of banter.

I am not sure how you can say it's a "huge spot", and bigger than the others, unless your assumption is that he intended to park in the baby spot next to the station wagon. Based on Alan's comments, I believe it is the other way around; he intended to park in the spot nearest to the camera, and spilled over into the clown-car parking spot.

Thanks for the updated pics E92M77.
What they re-iterate is that the space taken by the red 3-series is not a legal spot because there is no horizontal stripe. If it backed up three more feet, would you claim that car was double parked front-to-back?
Furthermore, your first pic shows exactly why he parked over into the non-spot... look at the silver Bimmer. It's on/over the line.

The space is definitely not wider, just longer which makes no difference when parking you car there. In my opinion Alan's explanation is solid enough to simply drop the case. Even if his assumption was wrong, is it really worth continuing that pointless conversation???

1. The red one couldn't even park in parallel despite having such a "huge" parking lot
2. The silver one parked on the line making it extremely difficult if not impossible to park next to him so ultimately took two spots

Based on the above have you started to grumble about the driving skills of both drivers in 3-series forum?

EDIT: Seems like @Doanster was quicker than me on commenting the silver F30...

if you look at the picture with the back of the red 3 series, it doesn't look like a legal spot to me because there's no parking line. The aerial view however seems like it is a parking spot. there seems to be something wrong with that cement curb/ divider. It's there in the aerial view but not there in the rear view picture of the 3 series. can't tell who's right and who's wrong from those pictures lol

lol yea. honesty, without knowing any members and their credibility, you can't know who's right and who's wrong from just the pictures. if that divider's not there and it's just a gaping hole, then yea, alan can park like that if he wants to imo. but let's not go bashing others without being there. OP is pissed and alan gave his reasons which seems legit. done deal let's get on with our lives!

btw, sexy ass f15 alan

From the aerial view it looks mostly like a parking spot to me, but maybe it wasn't as obvious at street level? Definitely a strange parking lot though. Given the lot wasn't empty I wouldn't have risked it! I know many people that would screw with a vehicle parked like that and felt good doing it, especially a new BMW.

Wow still going on with this huh....

Pics proves my argument. It's a weird spot and the lines reflect it. I'm sorry I don't have a helicopter to verify if the lines looks like a spot or not before parking there. When I pulled up to the spot on street level I didn't see there was a horizontal line there like all of the other spots so to me its not a spot. Looking at the arial view is the red car suppose to park all the way forward or next to me?

Frankly I don't give a shit if the OP isn't happy with my parking. I came back to my car dingless after having some good pho and left heading back to NY with the rest of my family without incident. Live with it OP.

If you caught me straddling two spots in a sea of identical parking spots at the mall or target etc... I would man up and admit it. This is not it so i stand by my post.

Alan
