X5 started production today
My X5 M Sport just started production today so I should be happy but a few days ago I decided to upgrade to the 2VF Adaptive M Suspension (yes, at the last minute) but my CA says his manager was awaiting a response from BMW because they were unaware of the upgraded suspension. I asked again today but he said he will let me know on Monday. I told him production started today!
I gave him the code as well as showed the order guide as proof prior but I believe now it's too late since production started I'm just venting but I have been driving coupes for so many years that I hope this X5 is going to be fun to drive.

Nevermind, I'm sure once I see the vehicle in front of me after the long wait I'll feel much, much better

Agreed it is tough to wait for it to arrive. I am switching from a 335 so it will be a big change for me as well

Congrats
I think you will still really enjoy your vehicle even if u don't get the adaptive suspension. In my opinion it drives much better than the e series coupe. Good luck with the wait though. I was impatient so took one that was fully loaded at the dealer. |

Exciting news Doreen! Only a few weeks left! They seem to get down to FL pretty quickly, depending on the dealer. Where'd you buy?

You are going to enjoy it when it arrives. The feeling is much like riding a roller coaster... the long wait in line will just be forgotten once you get into your ride.

Consider yourself lucky that the X5 isn't produced in Germany.. I ordered two 5 series from BMW and the wait was very painful.... My current X5 that I ordered from SC was quick!!
Congrats on your X5 OP. |
