Illuminated door sills - help needed

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
So I bought illuminated door sills for F15 and after few years the part attached on the drivers door fell off. Now only the passanger door sill is illuminated. I believe these are no longer available for purchase. Does someone have any idea what i should put on the door that it works and how, etc. I changed the batteries of course.

Thanks

I believe there is a small magnet that attaches to the door. You can use any stick on magnet I believe. The magnet is used to trigger the light on.

Thanks again. Looks like MacGyver did it but works nevertheless. Passanger side door has 3M tiny magnet that looks way better, but this will do (scotchtape and a small fridge magnet).

Ebay has many different size and shape self-adhesive magnets available. You might have to buy a minimum of 10 and they may take the slow boat from china, but at least it won't look as McGuyver and you will have 9 spares for when the passenger side falls off.

You can buy adhesive magnets at Home Depot, different sizes and even a sheet you can cut your own shape/size. They are usually in the aisle that has all the screws.

I ordered smthg online as I live in Europe, no Home Depot here. My MacGyver stuff did not work as the next day all scotch tape got messed up. Hopefully my order was OK. Thanks to all
