If that's the case the new X5 will not work for me. ML the same story, GL is a possibility but highly unlikely. The Range Rover is not even a consideration.

So it looks like another MDX....
The GL 3rd row is about the same as the new MDX. I have sat in both. I'm waiting for the Range Rover Sport to hit the showrooms so I can check that out. If it has the same 3rd row room as the GL and MDX, I'll get the Range Rover. I think it's the best looking of the bunch. The new GL looks worse to me. The new X5 looks worse to me. The MDX looks about the same but it doesn't feel very luxurious at all, about the same as a run of the mill Honda. I've never been a Range Rover fan and have always loved my BMWs, but the new X5 is just ugly enough and the new Range Rover Sport is just sexy enough that I might make the jump. I'm sure the X5 drives better and is more sporty, but I don't really care if my SUV is sporty. That's what my GT-R is for.

I don't understand the love for the E70 or the vitriol for the new gen (at least until you see it live, with some 20's and aggressive offsets)

The E70 had some terrible quirks, warts and the steering is awful..I owned one so I'm not tossing stones from an uninformed pov here...

All that said, I must say the Macan, RR Sport and X4 are all on my consideration list when my X3 lease runs out in 24 mos...As is a very tossable 2 series

I hear you.
The GL third row seats are the same size as the MDX but I'm not really interested in the GL over the MDX, that just me.

The Range Rover isn't a consideration for me because this will be the primary vehicle for my wife and children and as good as the Rover looks the reliability issues associated with the vehicle are real and I'm not putting my family in that potential mess. For me, it would be pure vanity to do otherwise.

Have you seen the new X5 in person ?

So now I wait for the X7..... :-)

What about heating, suspension, etc
In other words, any performance/convenience updates?
I've heard somewhere here about instant electric supplemental heater

Yeah, that supplemental heater sounds interesting. Also, I still haven't seen an answer as to why the "Dynamic Handling Package" cannot be selected on the configurator. Is this something that is not available now but will be available later?

Pure wood. You can tell by the way it's textured. The fine line is smooth like traditional wood trims with a glossier finish

Since the recommendation is 15000km 22000 it's not the end of the world but of course I wouldn't do it especially to the car I want to keep it for long

Could anyone tell me if there is any difference between a 2013-2014 F15 and an end of the production line 2017/18 F15? Was curious as I just opted for a 2014 one and heard they usually fix minor issues when reaching the end of the production line and I just hope I didn't miss out on anything relevant.
