M performance exhaust videos

I just got myself a gopro and thought it might be a good idea to post some videos on the MPE. They are probably not the best videos but I will try to shoot more down the road

So nice! How is cabin noise, any drone? Either under load or highway speeds?

There is no drone at all at highway speeds or under load. Ok maybe a slight humming sound at 2k rpm which I didn't like at first but putting it in sports mode solved it (crusing at ~2.3k rpm seemed to solve the problem). But now I either got used to it or the exhaust has "broken in", I drive on the highway in comfort mode without being bothered by the exhaust.

That's good to know BMW didn't make it unbearable under load as it ruins the whole reason to keep it a family cruiser

Can you also do a video on start up and idle with few revs and also inside the cabin sport mode drives if you ever get a chance.
Thanks.

Here is the start up and revving.

Mount to glass on panoramic roof. That's what I did with my gopro.

Thanks for the tip! I actually don't have a suction cup. I will get one if I can't rig up something.

Thanks for this.

From the outside its a pretty aggressive sounding exhaust for an suv. How noticeable is it from her inside with the windows up?

It actually sounds great. It is louder than stock, but not obnoxious (besides the cold start, it is LOOOOOUUDDDD).

I was only able to capture mostly wind noise when cruising...I guess that came across as it being quiet at highway speeds...

Something like that. I don't remember the exact prices anymore but I think it was about $2k installed.

Great, I think I will go this route. Just have to make sure it doesn't affect lease turn in.

Jdoc, you are leasing correct? Did you find out if this affects lease turn in?

Either put the stock exhaust back on or return it with it. This is a bmw accessory part so they shouldn't have any issues with it.

Nah I bought the car. But I'd assume what Alan said was correct since the MPE is an OEM BMW part. As long as they get the original exhaust back it should be ok.

these are the last videos unless people want to see something else. I believe all the videos in this thread should cover most questions people have.

This is a comparison between the cold and warm startups. The camera was mounted at the same place and the videos were taken between 10 minutes of driving to warm up the engine.

Just a video on WOT for the burbles between shifts.

Thank you for putting up those clips, really helpful for potential buyers like myself.

I am also interested in getting this exhaust once my 35i arrive, now, because I am in canada and if I can get a better deal buying from the states, can I install this myself? Or is it something that I need to get the dealership to do the installation?
