What are the quotes on your money factor/residuals?

I calculate rough payment of 756 with 57% and .00128 mf, which is right in line with your quote. Seems like a good deal to me.

However, can you roll all those fees and taxes into the lease? You won't be able to roll in the first payment obviously.

A rule of thumb for leases:

[ ( 1 / Lease Term) + MF ) * extra amounts you roll in ] is the monthly increase in your payment by not coming out of pocket now.

It will raise your payment about $110/month, which is $3,925 over the life of the lease (110 * 36 months).

[ (1/36)+.00128) *$3,750 = 3,925. ]

But you'd be saving $3,750 at signing. Basically, it will cost you $175 over 3 year period to keep that money. But that's just me, I roll in as much as I can when doing a lease, especially when the money factor equates to a 3% interest rate (money factor / 24 = interest rate).

I think you can get 1-2k more off of the cap cost. Right now your a little above invoice. Especially with the BMW incentive.
Why are you paying down the cap cost? A lot of dealers are close to 10% off, minus incentives, minus cap cost reductions, etc., which should put you in the 63,9k sales price range.
MSD's are a good idea provided it makes financial sense for you, although your MF seems high with 7 deposits.
What lease term is this for?

Good luck with your lease!

The lease is for 12k/month for 36months. I am trying to figure out what the invoice will for below options. Then I can negotiate off that price.
BASE MSRP $57,700
Imperial Blue Metallic $550
Terra Dakota Leather $0
Poplar Wood Trim $0
Driver Assistance Plus $1,900
• Driver Assistance Package $1,400
• ACC Stop & Go + Active Driving Assistant $1,200
Dynamic Handling Package $4,500
Premium Package $2,550
Dynamic Damper Control + rear axle air suspension $0
Aluminum running boards $400
Comfort Rear Seats incl. backrest angle and fore/aft adjustments $500
Multi-contour seats $1,300
Space-saver spare $150
Destination & Handling: $995

The dealers in the Dallas area are difficult to negotiate with for some reason.

Thanks for your response.

To figure out the invoice take the MSRP and multiply by .923. That will get you pretty darn close.
BMW MF is currently .0013. Also I assumed 8.225 as your tax rate as I don't know what it is. Also includes bank fee (lease origination) and dealer doc fee. All guesstimated of coarse.
Below is how your deal pencils out, or doesn't, according to how you have it listed:

I think the sales tax in Dallas area is 6.25% and it is calculated on the entire sales price of the car. Unlike some other states where is it calculated on the monthly lease payments.

There seems to be a bit more room to work with the dealer. I'll keep trying.

Thanks for the help.

Is the sales tax paid up front or capitalized into the lease?

I believe in my case it is capitalized in the lease. I am sure I have the option to pay upfront if I wanted to. But, reading some of the posts here, folks were saying to roll it in the lease...

Perfect. It is in line with what the dealer said - $926. However, the MF they are using is .00121, which is quite high.

I just asked for the cost breakdown and here is what they are adding:
Destination and handling: 995
Vehicle Inventory tax: 127
Lic and Doc fees: 277

Dest and handling is usually included in the msrp I believe. Inventory tax must be a Texas fee.
BMWFS MF for July is .0013. If you buy it down with 7 MSD's, the MF should be .00081.

Good luck on negotiations with the Dallas dealers. It is tough to get a solid deal from them. They almost always mark up the MF to the highest amount.

You are right about the MF. Even with the 7MSD, they want what the BMWFS going rate is.

I have couple of months before my current lease expires. So, I can wait till the end of the month to see if they would budge. For the MSRP of $73,795, I have the Dallas (AutoNation) down to $887/month.

Garage List
2015 BMW M3  [0.00]
X5 Boston area

All,

First post so hang with me.....

Looking to pick up an X5 xDrive in the Northeast (ideally boston) on a 10K lease, 36 months.

Ideal set up is Base + backup camera and metallic paint (silver/grey/blue) and sensatec. Could MAYBE go for cold weather package.

Best deal I have been quoted so far seems WAY OUT

MSRP - 58,100
Selling - 54,500
MF 0.00150 (all I have read is 0.0013 for best credit for July 2015)
Money down - First payments and government fees only
Tax rate 6.25%

$790 all in....I plan to do 8 MSD's that SHOULD get me to ~731 tax in....

Good deal? I see all of this under invoice talk...HOW????

George

Guys,

Apologies for not replying to individual PM's. Some of the guys sent me PM where I bought custom order X5 on 12% discount.

Dealer was Wide World BMW in New York. I went to true car and priced my car there. True car showed at that time (in Nov end last year) significant discount close to 11%. I sent mail to what ever email was printed on truecar certificate.

One of the CA called and I agreed on price and put the order in. On delivery I used my UDE and hence it was close to 12%.

There are few guys on this forum who bought from WW BMW. They also agreed WW is very aggressive on pricing but they sucks in customer service. After you take delivery, they don't even know you and they lie a lot I got BMW credit card that I never signed up for it. You can pick any CA from their website. My CA was Brian.

Thanks
Abhi
