Which models comes with //M badge?
Does the 50i M Sport come with the //M badge on the back, or just the true X5 M?

In Australia, whilst there are no M badges at the back, other than the m50d and x5m, they do come with small Ms on the side for any x5s with an msport package. Don't think it's standard in the US. Might be for other European countries though.

Yep, here in Ireland we get small M badges on the front wings (fenders) for cars with the M-Sport Package. I believe that we get Euro Spec cars here, so that would indicate that the European cars all come with these small badges. |

Should be X5Md in my opinion. Although no matter how short, I'd still de-badge it.

They sell M badges online if you're inclined. A M-version of the 50i would technically be the X5M.

The 50i I just bought came with an M badge on the back, that I really like the looks of, but if it's not a valid BMW badge layout, I don't want to run it.

I would just debadge the whole car. Would look cleaner that way.

Yes, it is not standard in the U.S. and I never could understand why. Yes, I know many people like to de-badge and that is fine and does make our X5s cleaner, but I still like the side badge.

I've never been a fan of completely de-badging a car for some reason. On my S4 I ended up changing every badge to black rather than pulling them all off.

I have always thought cars that are not M cars with M badges look very stupid. People that own BMW know that you are not fooling anyone and people that don't know about it really don't pay attention to the badge anyway. To each their own though .

You can order on ebay if want one. Ya like the look. No one will ridicule except
nutty car people which few pay attention too anyway. If you like it get one and put it on. If someone with no life says something, tell them where to go |

I like to remove all chrome coloured bits if I can, keeping with the White/Black/(Some Blue theme) Unfortunately, the BMW emblems, I cannot find an alternative that I am happy with, might just keep them. Last edited by Tripperhappy; 09-13-2016 at 03:23 PM.. Reason: Adding Image |

Yes... hehe... subjective I know.
It's not an X5M or a M50D, so I aren't pretending to be , and I don't fancy the slanting orientation of the X5, much preferring the X5 on the M50D. If it doesn't work somehow, I will just debadge altogether. I like minimalistic and non-chromy where possible. Aussies X5 comes with side M badges but none at the back, which is weird for my little OCD. And I know some will say, there will be some folks who may mistake it for an X3, if the X5 is removed, but I dont really care (as long as I [sorry the Mrs] is happy) |
