Muffler change is for sound preference only. No power to be gained since BMW did a great job with the valves. If stock is too quiet, it does get deeper and a little louder after the internal matting ages. Mine sounds much different at 14,000 miles compared to new. But that might still be too quiet for you and the Race posted above might be perfect. Be sure to turn off asd first.

I am running Racechip and just the same results as onfireX5 No issues. Acceleration and shifting is surreal. Easy install and uninstall for dealer purposes (in my opinion, Turbo spool sound is more noticeable, addictive speed and quicker throttle response) I clocked 0-60 in 3.5 seconds (pump gas)
r33_RGSport can hook you up with Racechip and If you are willing to put in some $$ I just purchased Dinan Intake from r33_RGSport as well which I recieved recently but yet to be installed. Exhaust: I am very happy with Akrapovic and it sounds much better than when I first installed it (5000 Miles after install). A bit expensive but the sound and look is unbelievable Good luck and share your decision |
