JB4 vs Racechip?

Thinking about tuning the X5M. Have the Eisenmann exhaust installed.

Any pros/cons for going with either of these tunes?

Racechip = easy install, SUPER Quality and easily knocks 0.80 seconds off your 0-100mph time.

JB4 = Will add more average and peak power and go faster than RaceChip if you want to push boost and parts.

Define your goals and have fun with either one.

Have RC for my 2015 X5M

I have had the RC on the following past cars.
2010 X5M - Worked well but no huge butt dyno feel. But did do something
2014 Audi SQ5 Being supercharged I thought it would not do much but I was wrong seat of the pants says 50 WHP and pulls harder up top them before.
2014 Merc GL63 . This one had the biggest change. I could get the tires to chirp in 1st and then going into 2nd kicking in TC. It made my wife sick it was such a hard pull. Ran and pulled a stock S63 from 40mph to 130mph where he started to gain some of the ground he lost.

Now for the 2015 X5M I have been playing with all of the S2 settings and can seem to get much if any seat of the pant increase . Hell today I am running the top setting S1 S2F . Started at S2B and then moved up 2 places to see if it helped of had a check ligh come one . So neither has happened. Its installed correct I just wonder if this flash something went wrong. That is the only thing about Racechip . great product but you have to figure somethings out for your self. Well if anyone else has this problem or idea please help

Also would love to get a poll on what is next after ECU? Downpipes or Cat back? OR maybe intake.

Thanks everone

I had the JB4 on a 335 in the past and it worked wonders. For the X5M, I already have the Eisenmann exhaust but I plan on leaving everything else stock.

Only concern is finding a dealer in north NJ that is mod friendly so I don't have to remove it each time I bring it to the dealer.

I'm leaning towards the JB4.

I've had both on different X's. Both work. RC has a bypass so you can remove it in 10 seconds for dealer visits. That sold me incase it ever went bad on vacation. +15,000 miles on RC and would buy it again.

I keep thinking about a 911 turbo as a replacement for my 2017 ZO6. Ever take yours to the drag strip ?

I've tracked the turbo and taken it to many drag strip events. Very reliable!

2.54 seconds 0-60 mph
10.35 1/4 mile time

I tried to upload photos but it says the size doesn't match

You are KILLING me ! I like the Z but awd turbo is calling my name ! What year 911 and mod list to get those times ? At sea level with DR's Z's are running high 10's stock at a track like ATCO or Englishtown. AWD would be killer. No tire changes. I am a turbo guy at heart. That's why I love the X5M.

I am thinking about this as well, except I was just going to go stage one bms tune instead of jb4.

x5m just doesn't have the kick the m3 does.

Isn't jb4 made by bms?

If you are taking bms stage 1 it's pretty similar to race chip. I run race chip and like the feature of being able to increase boost. Don't think you can do that with the bms.

All star 1 piggy backs are the same with max increase of boost.

My race chip drives like stock with some addded power. Def noticeable but nothing like my bm3 on my m4. The BM3 full tune completely changes the way the car drives. Feels nothing like stock drivability which I actually don't prefer

Always had plans of going full tune on the x5 but changing my mind.

You can't go wrong with either bms or race chip. Race chip packages their product better with better housing and cables are oem quality
