Introduction and question

Hey folks,

Just wanted to formally introduce myself. Current 997TT and Macan owner and am looking at getting into an X5M. I've been watching the market and I am starting to see a few x5m's coming off lease and being offered for sale as CPO (finally).

Are there any quality differences between the earlier builds (2015) vs. 2016 & 2017? Normally first year production vehicles have quirks to work through so I'm not sure if I should be avoiding 2015 and stick with the later models. Your input is appreciated.

Welcome ! I have a 2016 with 16,000 miles and zero issues. The first year of anything generally has some baby teething problems

The 2017 models have the updated iDrive with a touch screen and CarPlay.

+1 Although the Apple CarPlay has been very hit and miss IMO.
But the car is a beast!! If you don't care much about the minors such as updated iDrive you can get a previous year model but if you are going to keep it for 3+ years, go with the latest and greatest.
