It is recommended to change the vehicle's HP in coding?
Hello all members of the forum
I am new to this forum and I am very much helped by a lot of information here. I just bought a new x5 25d f15 2016. Very pleased after I owned a x6 and x4 for the last 5 years. Next week I'm doing some coding for the car. I also got a suggestion to change the engine power for 231 hp to 280hp (Without a chip). what do you say ? It is recommended or it can harm the vehicle? Thanks to all the helpers. Ofir |

Im surprised you can get $500 mppk. BMW sells them for 1k+. Anyways to answer your question... no, it doesn't harm your vehicle.

Uhh, I would find out what the guy is about to do to your car. As mentioned, MPPK is ~$1000 USD so $500 would be a steal for that. Or if he is trying to do a custom flash of your ECU, that might be good, as long as the guy knows what he is doing. But no, you can't just code in more horsepower without thoroughly tweaking the ECU.

MPPK is not available for diesel. Whatever he is selling you, it is not MPPK tuning
