Where to purchase 469M or 612M wheel package?
I am looking to update the wheel package on my '15 X5 Msport and I think I have narrowed it down to the 469M or the 612M style. Where does everyone purchase their wheel sets? I am even considering going down the replica route considering the extreme prices I am seeing online.
For example: $6k for the 612M style: http://www.ebay.com/itm/21-BMW-F15-X...dXvuVf&vxp=mtr |

Buyer beware on replica wheels (although some have said they haven't had one problem with the reps).
http://f15.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho...Replica+wheels I'm in the same boat as I have been shopping around for a new setup for my X5. I want OEM's and they've been priced in the same range as you've stated. But, we get what we pay for! Check the classified section, there have been and are currently some smoking deals on OEM wheels/tires. |

Sorry guys I'm just going through a little bit of a sticker shock! You guys are right - perhaps I should just wait for the right deal. I would love to pick up a set of 469's around the 2k mark with tires and tpms.
What are some great deals you guys have been able to score? |

I haven't been able to score any deals yet. I'm just biding my time and riding on my current set until that gem happens to pop up. This, however, is not the style your looking for, but the deal is AWESOME!!!:

If the wheel style was available for the E70 check for listings for those. And swap sensors.

My F15 M sport came with the 19s as well and I was looking around for a set of 469s. I, too, considered getting replicas because there weren't immediately any good sets of OEM 469s on eBay or in the classifieds, and I was being impatient. I emailed the seller of some nice looking 469 reps on eBay asking about the manufacturing process and how their strength compared to OEM. No reply, so I emailed again. Again, no reply, and that was enough answer for me. And in the overall picture of buying wheels, tires, TPMS, center caps, mount/balance and shipping, what are you saving? $500-600? Not worth chancing it on a 5000 pound vehicle.
I found Auto Rim Shop on eBay which sells refinished OEM wheels. They had 3 of the 4 wheels I needed in stock, it took about 2 weeks to source the 4th wheel. They just shipped to me (with tires and TPMS) this week so I'll post a review once the wheels are received. http://www.autorimshop.com/amfinder/...-bmw-x5-436599 |

I agree with you whole heartedly, on this vehicle, if you have to cut corners you shouldn't chance it where the rubber meets the road. Last edited by Dirty Cash; 07-22-2017 at 03:31 PM.. |
