My F15 is my second x5 from Freehold. The first was a 2012 5.0. I had several maintenance issues with the 5.0, and it got me so aggravated I ended up making a scene in the dealership and ended up with a $2000 service credit...you would have thought I would have learned my lesson.
I picked up my 2017 about 3 weeks ago. Truck was a loaner with 4K miles on it. Did not drive to much and ended up detailing the truck with CQuartz last week. Then I notice a cut in the passenger rocker panel (m sport body panel) Also all of the fasteners were missing like someone was going to remove and replace. Also underneath the rocker was all scraped. It appeared that someone in the shop put the car on lift but did not align correctly causing panel to push up into door frame and cause the cut. Brought it in to dealer who first said "its a used car what do you expect"!!! I had to plea my case and reiterated there was a cut in the panel where they agreed to send to body shop to fix. Picked up car today after dealer had for 4 days and bodywork looked good. When driving away car status said TPMS was resetting which I thought was weird since I did not initiate. By time I got home TPMS reset and said passenger rear was 48lbs. I new before I dropped off it was 44. I said to myself that is weird and not heat related since I have nitro in tires. Upon closer inspection valve stem cover was missing and I found a plug in my run flat tire....unbelievable. Called dealer back and they said they would get back to me in am. In short, BMW body shop got a nail in tire, plugged a run flat, refilled with to much air and never told me. Maybe it's time to make another scene in dealership. |

What he said! Also, well detailed "Certified" letters to the dealership w/copies sent to BMWNA will help get your issue rectified soonest. As I've seen from your post you've already taken photographic evidence to aid in your case! Take a comprehensive video of your entire vehicle as well as this will provide further proof in your favor. |

The damaged body part I can understand, it is used and your fault for not looking over better. BUT, the nail in the tire, patched without telling you, f that! They would be replacing it!! But they might say it had nail in it when you brought it in and did you a favor by fixing it. Sometimes you just can't win. I had a clutch replaced on a car years ago and the mechanic cut the sidewall getting it on the lift, he patched the sidewall and didnt tell me!! I found it later. Talk about pissed.

Im not too far from Freehold NJ. Just read your thread and to say dizzam, they def. should've been honest with you about the tire instead of hiding and getting caught in the end lol. Now just because of that im sure other ppl who use BMW of Freehold or are near will avoid the place to avoid getting taken advantage of. Time to find a new dealership. GL
