Has Anyone Bought CF parts from China

So was looking for a front lip for the X5M and came across two of the same kind with very VERY different pricing... has anyone ever bought and installed these from China?

Simple answer is, one will fit the first time. It will be perfect with no headaches. Now....if you go the China route there are a couple things to consider

1) it probably will not fit well, which means gaps, uneven sections and more than likely shitty quality Carbon fiber/clear coat

2) returning it to china is really not an economical option if said spoiler doesn't fit.

3) all this will take time and energy.

4) consider if you will damage it and how much it is to replace. I'd rather my wife rip off a $500 spoiler then a $2k. That would make me cry

Moral of the story is, if you have the cash do it once and do it right. If you are a gambling man with a bit of time to play around the above, then more power to you. Ballin on a budget is very possible but there are concessions you will have to make. Just my $0.02

Pretty sure RW Carbon sources theses from china, I have one installed. Fit is not 100% but fine by me. Ill post pics later. I have the 3d design rear diff that cost 2200, and even that one is not 100%.

RW does bring them in from china, but they have experience in navigating the supply chain there. Just yesterday there was a post about how awful the RW fitment is. That being said, it will be your best option and the price is right.

Your car looks beast and I'm sure they won't fit perfect. But if you can post some pictures that would be great by the way did you wrap the car?

Thanx, no wrap just the pic seems to look like it has matt paint. I have the pearl white on the car maybe because of that.

The 3d Design we are waiting for a new one as the fit is as you can see a bit wonky. In the pic you can only see that gap when you get real close and squat down, you can't see it if your looking at car from normal walking stance. It should come later this week.

RW

I have RW RKP style front, RW 3d style sides and RW RKP style rear.

The front fitment is 95% and pretty darn good and have no complaints. The sides are 90% and small gap that is hardly noticeable. Once again no compliants

The rear fits like a glove. Perfect fitment.

Over the years i have found that your installer is key on making things fit better than they were made.

You cant go wrong if you dont care about having a replica and saving ton a money. They have a fitment guarantee and pretty good on honoring replacements.

I also run all carbon pieces on my M4. everything fits perfect.

Darn! I messaged RW and they told me to remove the entire rear bumper to install and the bumper will "mold" to diffuser to close up the gap. I'm not willing to remove rear bumper off of it.

It's actually easier than you think. But you need two people.
