I personally don't, it's just another form of (inexpensive) customization, no biggie. |

The people who I described are clearly not car enthusiasts, more like poseurs. |

It's logarithmic. So by not having plate frames or front plates on our two cars, I'm 16x cooler than most other locals.

I have a BMW slimline black frame on the front because the dealer gave it to me (the OEM BMW one, not a "dealer" frame); and a plain black one on the back.
Personally could care less what someone has surrounding their plate, though I do laugh at some of the frames I see. |

Even if I only keep it for 10 years, my plate will end up being pretty cheap. |

Back to the OP, what price are you paying at your local Costco for fuel?

That is probable the single ugliest/dumbest thing you can do. As a European, I can only laugh.

How is that a status symbol? Is that like leaving window sticker on the car after you've bought it?

I guess it's like not only did you have enough money to buy the car but you had enough to fly to Europe to go on vacation and drive it around too.

What I'll do going forward is post my airplane tickets on the windows of my car. People would be equally unimpressed. It's amazing how sad some folks are. Anything to get attention, right?
