When I was shopping for floor liners, I came across a similar dilemma. #1 is a BMW liner and looks better. But it is two pieces in the rear, so the rear "hump" does not get covered. #2 is a WeatherTech liner (it appears to me with a BMW badge swap), and it is a single piece that covers the rear "hump". I know this because I have WeatherTech liner that I purchased from the WeatherTech site. So it does a better job covering the rear area.

I'm not sure if you're thinking about covering the rear or not, but just letting you know.

Or, you can do what a lot people do here. Buy BMW fronts and cargo mat, and rear WeatherTech.

Z.

I went with #2. The decision is because the back is 1 piece. #2 looks like weathertech, but when I compared the ones they sell, the liner pattern is a bit different than weathertech.

Thank you guys.. I saw the first one at the local dealer but they didn't have the second one. The guy at the store said the second is thinner and covers more area.. Not sure if that's true. I might just have to order online once I know which one i want..

I got the #2. Just be advised that #1 is a ALL Weather Mat only while # 2 is a Liner which covers more liquid spill/snow because of a higher sidewalls and have velcro to fasten them on it's place and fits like a snug. Plus the rear is one piece that covers the middle section. I also norticed they're easy to clean. Just hose off and wipe dry.

Im ordering 1 for front and 2 for rear. This is what I did with my E70.
I like having the middle covered as well, this way if 3 people ride in the rear, the carpet doesn't get dirty.

#1 - they fit well and are good compromise over standard mats and crazy all weather cavity mats.

The dealer threw in the #1 mats when I picked up the car. IMO, they really look good with the black interior that silver BMW emblem on mat and my mineral exterior.

I got both #1 looks nicer but #2 is necessary if you deal with snow. However, none of them do a good job in keeping the water to leak under the mat and get the carpet all wet. Now my car smells musky.

#2 but got them straight from weather tech. Always had these in my last 3 cars. I like how rigid they are and can just pick them out of the car and wipe them down when I get a car wash without all the crap dumping back inside.

Considering item #51472347731 instead

Although I like the quicker-picker-upper aspects of the rubber floor mats I'm leaning towards carpet mats. I think they look more classy.
