20" wheel upgrades?

Anyone opt for the 20" wheel upgrade for X-line or Lux-line?

I am wondering if the upgraded width size (10" front and 11" rear over the 9" front & rear for the 19") also includes the flared rear fenders?

From the order guide:

2LS 20" Light alloy Y-Spoke wheels style 451-with performance run-flat tires

(20x10.0, 275/40 R20 front and 20x11.0, 315/35 R20 rear)

Sorry, I cannot answer either question.

However, price wise it is a great deal. They are performance tire, so you need not worry about winter and all seasons. Tire brands get more limited in the 20". Looking good.

Yes they do. There's a thread where someone said the fenders aren't flared as much as the M sport fenders, but I'm not sure anyone has been able to compare them in person. They are flared for 20" wheels though, only question is how much.

Here's one I found on cars.com with the 20's. There are a couple on here if you search too. I think the flare is the same as the M sport.

Sir.
The 451 look awesome on Space Grey, blends in so beautifully. Look easy to clean. The front flare is minimal max 1 inch. Rear at widest point is max 2".

It would be a wise choice.

I have pic's but cannot upload pdf as limit size is 1600X 1650. One pic size is 3264 X 2248. Q: how to insert pic on post?

On the E70, the 20" option provided larger fender flares but were a non-painted black and with the Msport the fender flares are painted the body color.

I believe the x-line flares remain black plastic (not body color). I also think you get the flares on M-sport whether you get the 20" wheels or not.

Yes, true on both counts. m-sport and lux line flairs are painted body color, x-line still black plastic, but flared (same as the E70 non-M sport with 20's). And yes, the 19's on m sport are still flared. The pic I posted of the mineral white m sport has the 19's.

good decision. I didn't and I regret it. Instead, I'll use the 19's as winter wheels and buy a set of 20's in the spring instead of buying a set of winter wheels now.. basically a wash for me since the m sport already has the flares with the 19's. I just wasn't crazy about the M sport 20's, but they've grown on me, now that it's too late

For you though, with an x-line or lux, if you got it with the 19's then decided to add 20's later, may not look right without the flares, so you'd likely want to add those after the fact too. I also happen to, at least initially anyway, like the x-line and lux 20's better than the M sport 20's.

That's far too much of a gap for me...How can it be that much with a 20" wheel??

Larger diameter wheel options often don't address a ride height gap, since tire sidewall goes down as diameter goes up. I think close up photos accentuate the gap effect, but back up and I like the stance of the F15 as a whole. The 451s. I think that's the best 20" option.

Agreed.....I loved both the 20" style 214 and my 21" style 215 back on my E70's...The 451 seems like a nice evolution to them.

I think the F'15 can handle 21" easily and still look sporty/not pimped-out

Yes- they look great. Since BMW decided to pull my January build back into early December, I missed the opportunity to have my CA add the 20s to my build when I received an email that production began on my F15 yesterday.

Sucks.

May not hurt to double check. If not ask dealer to swap them before you drive away.
