Personal choice, but I prefer one set.

You never know, as KIP1 reported the M50d review was fitted with the nice 19" Hakka 7 ( winters).
Hi. Yes, I hope I don't need to but will use the fact both the dealer I bought the car from and BMW UK confirmed the 20" are all season RF tyres as a negotiation position should it come to that.
Like you, I don't want the hassle that comes with a second set of tyres.

Can someone confirm the tyre sizes fitted to 469M rims for cars supplied to the UK?

Performance tyres are fitted to all 20" wheels.
There isn't a tyre manufacturer that makes 20' all season RFT.

Seems there is at least one AS option now, from Continental:

Good to know.

I asked my dealer again to confirm that the 20" 469ms come as all weather RFs and he said in an email: 'I can confirm that your New X5 will have All Weather Run Flat Tyres.'
This is consistent with emails I have had from BMW UK & BMW HQ.
Car is being built this week and hopefully delivered in UK early May so will let you know.

Advance congrats on your delivery. I think that dealer is referring to all season rather than all weather.

Thanks, I can't wait.

Silly question: what's the difference between AS & AW tyres?

Have I been sold a pup?

Likely you will get summer perf tyres. All weather will have the snowflake inside the mountain for severve winter driving. Nokian is one such mfg. A/seasons have no snowflake/mountain symbol.

I don't think thees are homogenated by BMW and so won't be fitted at factory.
I couldn't see a 315/35/20 option either for the rear wheels.

If you have option 927 All Season tyres on your build sheet and you have ordered 20" wheels then yes you have been sold a pup.

Mmmmmm. All I can see is '2PW' Against the Tyres and '258' by the RFs.

Whatever I get, I have the emails from the dealer and BMW UK saying the car comes with 'All Weather Standard Run-flat tyres'.

So my delivery day is going to be 'interesting'.
