20" to 19" wheel switch

I have 20" 451 wheels on my new X5 (with different front and rear wheel widths). I'm thinking about trading them for 19" wheels.

If I took off the 20s and put on the 19s, would it be a simple install? Would spacers be required? Would it look odd with the fender flares? Wasn't sure if the current wide wheels in back would create an issue with less wide 19" tires and wheels.

Thanks.

No complication at all. Just a simple swap.
Spacer is needed if you want to set off the wheel further out to get more flushed look the the fender flare. It's only cosmetic and totally up to you to decide.

You may want to replace the flares under the wheels for slimmer ones.

I have 19" with m package, they are wider in the back, no need to reduce flares. Does not look as baddass as with 20" that are wider but is ok.

The 19's in the US, unfortunately, are a square set up.

Hmmm...are you sure? I saw offer from dealer all same size for 19"msport, but car with 19" arrived with wider rear (19" m sport wheels)

Yup, I have them. My understanding is that it is regional. No idea why, makes no sense. Ours has 255's all around. Rear IMO should be at least 275's with those fender flares, if not wider.
