Hello fellow deal searchers, can anyone tell me if a destination charge still applies if a car is picked up at the factory? Feels like it should not, which potentially gives another $900 in savings, but somehow i feel that nobody would be willing to give it up. Any thoughts or experience to share?

Will PM you in a sec...
In a similar position and would welcome a referral in this area. Can you PM me as well?

Hello sir- new member here trying to do my homework on invoice pricing and what not. Would love to pm you for that NY/NJ contact info, but I have to wait an hour. At any rate, does anyone have any input on USAA pricing and whether or not that trumps the invoice pricing ? Thanks so much and I looks forward to the day I can officially join the ranks.

someone else can chime in here, but i don't see that EVER happening. The best I've seen or heard is 7% off MSRP. I got 6.3% off MSRP in the Seattle area and i was happy.

Price I paid on ordered 2015 x5 35d M Sport

I had to order a 2015 (for factory delivery), since the dynamic handling package (DHP) was a must have and couldn't be found in dealer inventory. The buying process is always a game, but I was pretty disappointed in the competitiveness of various dealers and board sponsors. Ultimately, I paid "Invoice less $500", and then applied a $1,000 Team USA voucher towards the deal.

MSRP was $77,325, and I paid $$70,210 + TTL. My CA who sold my my 2013 740 wouldn't even respond to my request for an invoice deal (email, texts, etc). I nicely went above a few heads and management apologize and agreed to this deal which was more than fair. PM for the dealer info in Naples, FL.

Shelly BMW (Derek) best and final was "Invoice plus $850

Pacific BMW (Greg) offer was "Invoice plus $1000

BMW of Morristown (Mike) won't do business unless you show up at the dealership (export concerns)

Motorwerks (Irv) didn't respond.

Bramman BMW (John) wouldn't quote since they had no 2015 35d allocations left.

Bottom line. There are much better deals out there if you create a bit of competition. I was willing to do a factory PDC delivery so that removed the "local dealer" requirement. As you can see, there's a $1,500 spread between what I paid and what another Board sponsor was willing to offer. If you have the time, and don't mind the effort, it's certainly worth the effort.

Hope that helps anyone that's out shopping any BMW.

Thats pretty good.... my local dealer would only do 2% off and laughed when I mentioned invoice pricing. I have 1 offer from dealer in CA for ~250 over invoice. Ill be PMing you for that dealer in Naples as I am in FL too. I agree with you..... forget about local dealer loyalty and shop around for the best deal...

Bad thread to go to after the fact - this is why I didn't ask about my numbers

Custom order, I went to all three dealers in the Puget Sound area, Bellevue gave me the best offer:

MSRP 71,025.00
Sale Price 66,662.00
They also gave me $1000 more for my trade-in than NW and Seattle.

I had to attend an event to get a $1000 discount (part of the sale price above). It was a real drag, I got fed and then test drove a 650i convertible

I priced my order through USAA and Costco, invoice was $64,965 ($69,925 MSRP). Costco was a set $600 over invoice for a 2015 X5 while USAA gave me what they called a guaranteed price on a "similar" vehicle on the lot, no custom order. For the same order, the USAA price was just over $66,000, Costco was $64,965 + $600.

Don't forget you can also get a $1000 manufacturer incentive as a USAA member whether or not you use their buyer service.

Hello all, just to clarify, when you are saying sale price- that is without taxes etc right? I'm getting roughly 450.00 below invoice on a deal here in NY/NJ but factoring in the taxes back, its pretty much close to or exactly msrp...does this make sense. Just trying to understand your lingo here. Thanks.

Yes... Sale price excludes tax, title and license fees. (At least for my deal). In my research, it seems the best pricing in on the East Coast. I negotiate for a living and had to work hard to get the deal I got here in the Midwest (several dealers in different states).
