For US market no, for europe yes. Interesting that you reply to this thread now because i made an appointent to have it done aftermarket at a really pro specialist recommended by the dealer. Also specialist told me that on the X5 it is not "real" alcantara which BMW calls alcantara it is dinamica. So i did research and dinamica (its probably spelled dynamica) is a "type" of alcantara. Leather specialist will put in the alcantara from the 7 series which according to him is the real deal. So Im not over the alcantara thing

For the Msport we do get black headliner but it isn't alcantara material.

Have the alcantara antracite in my 3rd F15.
Definitely more deluxe than the previous 2 with only antracite, no alcantara.

alcantara is a brand. these materials are all considered to be in the microfibre category made by ultrasuede. basically synthetic suede which is automotive grade for wear and tear.

No clue about that. Made an appointment at specialist that sources sam alcantara as in the 7 series. Thats all i know for now.

I would imagine ten yards are needed if covering visors, pillars, panoramic shades, and having fabric to spare for any mishaps or miscalculations along the way but I wanted to see what the exact number was on yours.
