BMW X5 & X6 (F15/F16) | Velos Performance ECU Tune (5.0 & 35i)
Dear Members,
As some of you might have noticed we have been running a Summer Sale on our Personal Tuner Module for the X5M. However we have been receiving PMs and emails from our forum members asking what is available for the 5.0 X5. We have decided to extend our Summer Promo to this platform and bring you special forum member pricing and early bird specials. Our Personal Tuner upgrade includes simple step by step instructions to our plug and play solution that increases power output by 40 HP and 55 lb ft torque. Peak gains are in the mid range where you spend the majority of your time driving. RPM integration yields for calibrated tuning allowing for a smoother power curve that does not aggressively fall off towards red line. Installation takes under 30 minutes and requires only basic tools. Send in your request via PM Phone 786-401-6520 or Email Albert@velosdesignwerks.com. Be sure to post in the thread if you are interested in any of our early bird units. 35i Module Also Available Please PM for details 35i Specs
5.0 Specs
Importance of RPM Integration This personal tuner is engineered to use RPM calibrated tuning allowing for a smoother power curve that does not aggressively fall off towards red line. What does Plug & Play mean? This means there is no need to cut or splice into the factory BMW wiring loom (harness). The Velos Personal Tuner uses factory connectors to guarantee a sure connection without any issues. The unit can also be removed in a manner of minutes requiring basic tools. Quality The build quality of the module, electronic boards and loom is of the highest quality components available. Our Personal Tuner uses factory connectors as well. This assists in ensuring no Check Engine Lights or other warning lights. Built in Germany, assembled and Tuned in North America. Adjustability The personal tuner comes with preset calibrations resulting in a power curve that delivers constant and more importantly reliable power through the entire RPM band. What is the by pass plug? This allows you to go back to factory settings in a manner of minutes by installing our by pass plug and removing the module. Keep in mind a complete uninstall will only take roughly 30 minutes. what the 50i crowd needs is a proper exhaust system priced within reason. this seems to be an area of neglect from every tuner.

Anyone have an experience with these they'd like to share? Any issues from BMW while having service done?

problem with x5m exhaust options are fitment issues in regards to the rear bumper. on the x5m you have dual tips below the bumper while the 50i m-sport has single tips going through the rear bumper.

If you want to go the x5M muffler route, a decent exhaust shop can retrofit an OEM x5m or dinan exhaust to your car. here is an example on an E70. http://www.xbimmers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=837155 (I've used AMS before and they do OK work) |
