Let me know. I can tackle them for you.

So keep this in mind if you go for the hexa trim. The brushed aluminum trim is more resistant.
PS the swap was done by the dealer so can't comment on how difficult it is to do it. They asked for half a day...but that was probably to take their time. I think 2-3h is a reasonable amount of time to do it.
I completely agree! The hexagonal aluminum trim is extremely easy to scratch, I made a wrong choice when build my F15 M-sport.

Which wrap did you use? There are some many of them. Did you remove trim?
Thanks

WTF? that's not aluminum? it looks like an oem wrap or print on the trim. is this the first BMW to have this? on every bmw i have ever owned the trim was actual aluminum or metal of some sort not that. hell even my F31 had real aluminum trim.

The best aluminum trim is found in the X5M, IMHO. Quite different than the hex in the F15.

this is exactly what i plan on doing with my trim as well as it will be fineline anthracite wood or something when it arrives which i dont like. was this a DIY or did u get it professionally done? and how much was in total? and was the door trim pieces removed along with the door panel or was it doable with the trim attached to the door?

This was a diy job. I ordered 2 rolls of 3m 1080 carbon fiber vinyl. 5 ft x 2 ft rolls. And yes the door panels got to come off to unscrew the trim from the panel from behind

Reviving this thread as I'm ready to do a trim swap.

Anybody know of the best method to remove the door trims? Where to start?

Any guides would be much appreciated

Look at the BAVSound stage 1 install videos. They show you how to remove the door panels. Once the door panels are off, the trim is removed with screws that are on the inside of the door panel.
