Share your 2014 X5 Orders and their status

received a call from my ca this afternoon stating that my 35i has been sitting on a carrier since friday awaiting the epa approval. he thought the delay would be approximately two days but he was unclear if that was two days from my scheduled arrival date of 8/5 or two days from today. however, he did state that he thought the car could be released as quickly as today, as he anticipated epa approval to be already completed or imminent. he is currently researching the issue further & promised to get back to me later this afternoon.

All 2015 vehicles are at exit gate waiting for the emissions and final checks to be done. its part of governments regulation.

Hopefully they should be released soon.

Mine was completed on 8/5, the 800# says it's at the port waiting for shipping vessel. Not sure if that means it's at the exit gate like you said , or it's passed that point ?
Also I'm assuming the "shipping vessel" is just their way of saying it's waiting to board a train! Cause I see no reason for it to board a ship since it's coming to CA.

dropped by the dealer while out for lunch today and asked my ca to look up my x5 in their system. the status now reads: "Monroney/EPA, Release". my ca mentioned that the word "release" was new as of cob yesterday evening. he was not certain what that specifically meant but we were both hopeful that bmw received the EPA approval yesterday and the vehicle was cleared to ship.

anyone have insight into this specific status terminology or have better data from other sources?

I went to dealership today to attend the Un4gettable event. I asked for the VIN of the F15 I ordered and this is the same status I have on the print out for vehicle inquiry.

EPA stands for Environmental Protection Agency. How long does it take to get approval.

No delivery date for me, yet, but it's being assembled, due to complete today.

Anyone else's MY15 X5 being shipped out ? Mine was completed on 8/5 and still stuck at port waiting to be shipped out. Anyone know what's the normal time between completion and shipping out ?

Completely depends on the number of deliveries in that route and number of trucks scheduled for that route. It can be 3 days or more.. Completely depends on where you live. I would say atmost 3 weeks.

according to 800 rep yesterday the eta at dealership in VA for my 35d xline is 8/14 (built on 8/5), and my brothers 35d msport is 8/13 (built on 8/4) ... most probably it will come on the same truck

mine arrived at the dealer last night! production started 7/24/14 & completed on 8/1/14. due to EPA approval holds, it sat for more than a week before it was loaded onto a transport truck monday. i should pick it up later today.

Mine's in transit according to the automation. I need to talk with a human and get the ETA, but I'm hoping it's not long since FL is relatively close to SC

Just got the call from my CA - car just arrived today.

So, for those curious:
Order placed: July 22
Production started: August 1
Production completed: August 9
Arrived at dealer: August 13
