Define simple, it varies quite a bit ! I have and still do- recode/run wire, Mobridge DA, sum/tune.
So I removed the oem amp and use a bit dmi, then to my mosconi dsp, then amps. I run separate wires to my front stage. To me that was simple. But if you get the harass it's just plug and play.

It is simple, I do it 6 days a week but the the general consumer it is quite a task. Plug and play is great but not really an option with H/K or B&O so I was just trying to provide viable cost effective options.

A bit off topic - I just tried flac file format music via USB. Increased volume and it does sound better than what I was hearing before on mp3 files. So at least HK is not that bad - there's still lack of separation high's and mids and lack of bass.

It should but you will be limited to the oem headunit. I have a coax/digital cable straight from my Fiio x5mk3 to my dsp. That's how I play my hires files.

Did a dozen or so of these, very awesome piece but unfortunately also only for HiFi.

I have spdif and USB inputs to mine excluding the USB to the headunit.

You can get the mobridge or bit dmi and use the optical input on the dsp.

WAV and 320 mp3 should also be pretty decent. MP3 in itself is not 'bad' as most would be lead to believe, it just comes down to the rate of it. 128 is horrendously bad, 192 is bearable 320 is not bad in any way actually.

No need, I am currently at HiFi.
