Luggage Compartment Accessories Feedback
Hi,
So I just bought two luggage compartment accessories and wanted to share my experience so far. I now have: 1. Securing belts (http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...81&hg=51&fg=95) and 2. Trunk floor net (http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...46&hg=51&fg=95) Despite the fact that they are pricey, the belts are great and prevent your stuff from rolling around all the time. You get two of them in a nice branded bag and you can play around with the positioning (see attached). It is a pretty smart system where you can adjust the place of each end and also the tightness of the belt, even though sometimes you will struggle to really tighten it up as it clicks(fixes the belt) every 5cm or so. They do extend quite a lot though and you can even hold suitcases without a problem. Overall, I think it was definitely worth it, considering that there might not be a lot of alternative products that use the rails in the trunk. By the way, you do need to have those for the belts to work and at least here, they only come with some sort of Storage package If you want to hold in place smaller items, you better go for the trunk floor net: It is useful and holds items nicely and also requires the rail system, which comes with 4 adjustable hooks that you can move along. You tie the net to those and adjust the tightness by simply spreading the hooks or bringing them closer together. However, I believe that there are similar products on the market for much less that will do the same job. Hope that helps. Cheers P.S. Sorry for the night pics, but I will hopefully get the time to make some day photos soon. |

OP, check the secret compartment to the left and you might find another free net.

Kzang Thanks, mate! I already found the free net, sadly after i bought the other one.
However, they are not identical: the one that comes free with the car is bigger and more loose. |

The cargo net is part of the 'storage' package that includes the rails in the trunk. if you have the rails bmw should include the net.
