Rear Hatch Oil/Grease leak

My 2 week old X5 leaks a perfect line of oil/grease on the center of the rear bumper. The obvious culprit would be the hatch lock mechanism, and the possibility that the factory over greased it.

I'm just surprised at how it continues to leak now that it's been washed 3 times. And I'm not sure how to stop it other than time.

Anyone else experience that same issue on the rear bumper?

you may notice the same thing below your doors. i'm pretty sure its just the wax oil rust preventative fluid they put inside the doors and whatnot.
