Anyone has dash cams installed?
I want to tap it into the cars power source but im afraid it will avoid some kind of warranty because it's electrical work. Can someone advise?

There are plenty of DIY, but here is mine. I hope it help.
As long you are doing it correctly, it shouldn't cause any warranty issue. http://f15.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1069932

I tapped into the rear view for my radar but the dashcam had a long enough wire to get it all the way to one of the 12v sockets. The fusebox is too small for my big fingers. Let me know if you want pics.
