BMW X5 F15 x35i M performance exhaust - full throttle in Autobahnn
Hi everybody,
I recently fitted the M Performance exhaust on my 2015 X5 x35i and I have to admit this is an upgrade you must do! The exhaust sound is amazing and also makes the engine sound way better. In full throttle you think you ride an M2 I took a video from my acceleration from 60-240 Km/h in Autobahnn, enjoy |

Edit: I'm not 100% certain but I think adding MPPK also enhances the burbles and pops to the MPE. Here is a video clip of a cold start and revs.. you can hear the burbles towards the end.

I contacted a friend of mine who works at BMW and he just delivered bad news to me stating that there is no M-Performance exhaust for the 50i. Is he misinformed or is this true?

Yeah I imagine BMW wants people to upgrade to the M so hence not offering a factory kit.

In Benelux is forbidden to upgrade to MPPK but out of curiosity is it worth it?Do you feel any difference in acceleration? |

Next project is to install the X5M mirrors. I have already asked my dealer to do a research in order to verify that i cannot fit only the X5M mirror caps and i need to replace the whole mirror. Will keep you posted guys

I was just at the dealer today and I saw the new 750i and there is an option for a M Performance Exhaust... It has four tailpipes (two on each side) feeding into the two trapezoid tips which was kind of weird.
Anyways I'm wondering if anyone has heard if the 50i will ever seen a MPE? |

and also I would suggest you to search this forum on MPPK and you will see that everyone agrees.

You can cut and weld the old one, but you will have great chances of getting them crooked and uneven. Taran.J and few other forum members done it and some fail, some don't.

Buy new ones from ^^^^^^^
Not worth the hassle at the end especially if your paying for labor to chop and weld

Yes, get the tips, it will save you the hassles of cutting and welding versus just slide it in and clamping. It's easier to install and remove if needed this way. You might want to paint the tips black later down the road and it is pretty easy to remove on your own.

Hey all, sorry to revive an old thread. I want to get the MPE for my 35i 2018 M-Sport, but the parts guy at my local dealer (who I think is a junior guy) told me the catalog says use of the MPE is restricted by the aerodynamics package I have. My body kit, rear bumber, exhaust tips look the same as any other M-Sport so Im wondering if thats accurate. Anybody know about restrictions on this part? Thanks a lot!
