X6 F16, Problem with the electric steering wheel
Hi everyone,
I have a 2015 X6 F15 and my electric steering wheel canīt adjust in & out, but up and down. I found this problem just today when I drove my car to work. Have someone seen this kind of problem on F15/F16? Any solution? |

There are 2 different motors for telescoping (in and out) and tilting (up and down). Could be 1 motor stopped working. Do you hear motor trying to move or there is nothing at all?
P.S. Lots of electric equipment in our cars and this is the reason I turned off steering wheel memory adjustment during start/stop - just to avoid such issues. I also don't use start/stop mode to avoid starter and battery problems |

What did the dealer replaced in your car?
I am living in Sweden (Europe) and I don't think there are so many F15/F16 with this kind of problem reported, so I have to tell them that this is a common issue and probably get BMW to do this under warranty/Goodwill, because my car is just 2 months over the warranty. |

exact same issue with my 2016 X6 20+k miles, just dropped to my dealer 2 days ago to get it fixed while driving 200miles new x5 loaner with extreme vibration at 75mph+
Also, while using my Valentine One Radar in this new X5 loaner - car engaging Laser Wave constantly - any idea which part of this car causing this interference?

Hey Sumokb, I used Carly adapter and App to code it out. I know it's not much help and I wish I knew easier way to turn auto adjustment off (besides pulling fuse). Maybe someone can chime in on this matter?

The dealer should take care of this no problem.

Do you know what fuse you pulled, if you did and where its located? Was it one of these, under the steering wheel picture? I am wondering if mine is related to a blown fuse...
