X5 exhaust valve mod (Pics)

There's a little clip on the right side of the exhaust that you just press the clip and remove. If you look at both sides you'll see the difference because the left doesn't have it because it's always open.

My thoughts?

It does make it a little louder in comfort

I don't know if anyone else noticed but if you put the shifter into M/S go full throttle and shift manually at 4500rpm the exhaust pops (TRY IT OUT) but when you remove the connector it no longer does that

I enjoyed the little bit of extra sound it had for the 5 minutes I removed the connector BUT I missed the popping sound it made so I plugged it back

I remember someone said you lose low-end power when you remove that.

I didn't check for that lol I was mostly listening for sound but they might be right

Yeah there is another thread here with someone who did the same.. but I didn't read future to see what was the end result.

am i correct to assume that once you unplug that connection it stays open? or do we have to do a certain procedure to get it to open up and then unplug?

I followed the f80 m3 video.. I drove it around the block in sport mode then disconnected it
