Just found out they legalized studded tires here in New York last year...
Never used studded tires, do they feel any different than studless?

I would imagine a more flexible option would be to use non-studded winters and carry a set of chains/cables. |

I have the OEM 469M staggered with Pirelli tires.
Have already experienced the first snow storm and they performed more then well in snow. |

I may pull the trigger on some 611M reps soon so my 467Ms may be for sale. Trying to get the most life out of the stock tires before ditching them though.

Continental DWS 06's; the OEM PZero's are currently residing in my garage. Personally, I like the ride of the DWS and we'll see how they do both from a life POV and in snow/ice. I usually deal with 2-4 snow "events" in a year, up to 6-8" of snow so full on snow/ice tires are probably overkill.
purchased the spare here..http://www.bimmerzone.com/BMW_Perfor...T-E70-KIT.html the snow brush you see with the spare was purchased at Amazon; the brush head swivels and the ice scraper is the best I've found in over 40 years of driving..https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Finally, the OEM BMW cross bars were found on eBay from the BMW Morristown ebay store (significant savings) and the Yakima rack is a "load warrior" i've had for several years, I have a Yakima bag that sits inside the rack to hold "stuff" Ready for Winter travels |
