Arrow BimmerTech F15/F16 Comfort Access Retrofit

Hi guys,

I would like to check how many of you might be interested in adding Comfort Access to your bimmers.
Some of you had this option factory installed and I am sure you love it.
There are still many X5/X6 out there without this option, so let me know if you would like us to offer you a plug and play kit that does not require any coding and will work pretty much like factory installed.

We have the Comfort Access Retrofit ready for the 3/4-series and there has already been a group buy started on the other forum.

If someone does not know what I am talking about here is a short video

Cool but I'd like a cheaper back up camera price. Every time I go to the site I can't justify buying the oem one

I'm in. Hopefully you can make this happen. I know other forum members had asked about this being possible in the past, so I am sure they will chime in in due time.

Thanks for the feedback.

How about a group buy with an introductory price for the first 10 buyers?
Delivery in March.

If interested please send a PM to Nelson@BimmerTech for pricing.

Helle, I have signed in.

A few questions:
- are the doorhandles OEM and in color (Carbonschwarz Metallic - 416 in my case)?
- is the easy comfort system OEM?
- does it affect the car's warranty?
- does it definitely not harm or interfere the rest of the car's electronics and software and the (GPS follow) alarm (Faringwell)?
- price is the "on my doormat" price?

The kit is made by BimmerTech and the door handles look and work exactly like OEM. Each set will be painted to match your BMW color code. It will be a DIY and plug and play kit.

It won't affect your warranty, because BMW can't void it if you install a non-OEM part:
https://www.consumer.ftc.gov/article...ne-maintenance
Moreover this system is transparent to the BMW diagnostic computer, so they will not even know you had it installed.

It does not interfere with any other electronic systems.

The price includes worldwide shipping.

On a scale from 1 to 10 how difficult is instal? What's involved in the install? How much of the car has to be taken apart?
P.S. I am definitely interested, however, i need to know what is involved in installation.

Tell us more. Is this retrofit only for the door locks, or will it include keyless start for those few X5's that dont have it. Will the rear liftgate have the lock button?

Thanks

you dont have push button start? or do you have to insert a fob into a slot?
i thought keyless start was always standard.

You will have to change door handles and run a wiring from each door handle to the module in the passenger footwell. It's up to you on which doors you want to install comfort access.
Then another wiring from the module to the roof switch cluster.
All the connections are plug and play.

Also there is a tailgate antenna which you might want to run all the way to the back if you want to have comfort access for the tailgate too.

We do not have an install video yet but if you check our soft close video for an F30 it shows how to remove door panels and run wires. This is very similar to what you will have to do.

I have comfort access and keyless start, but I dont think all X5's have it. I could be wrong.
