I can tell you as one of the few members here who have gone from E70 50i > f15 35i> f15 50i, there is no substitute for the 50. I had the MPPK on my 35i M sport and while it was fun to drive (with plenty of pep), after owning the V8, the 35i is just not in the same league. From the sound of cold starting in the garage in the AM, to passing someone on the highway, its just a whole different feel. My wife thought I was nuts for trading in a 2016 with 15K for a 2016 with 9k (but with the v8), I would do it again in a heartbeat. Life is short, get what you want and enjoy your time behind the wheel. My next one is going to be a 2 year old CPO F85

Well, I've owned a E70 35i and now I own a F15 50i and the bottom line is if you want the performance anywhere close to what you have in the C63 you will want to go with a 50i. As for the reliability. I have a F10 550i and a F15 50i. Both are a version of the N63 engine and although there are plenty of threads out there with bad reviews on this engine, I've had no issues thus far. I will tell you one thing and that is I'm very familiar with the local gas stations. |
