I really think, or hope at least, that the minivan-ish side profile is less of an issue in person. I think the profile is misleading because of the spoiler on the rear window, makes it looks like the rear window is a big bubble when it isn't. e70 has it too, but it just seems to change the profile more on the F15. I am hoping at least that this is just a visual thing in 2D pics, but not in real life... It seems less noticeable and awkward in videos, so I think there's hope it's better in person.

ugly. looks like a cross betweem the f25 x3 and the 3 series. removes the large stance of the car.

SPOTTED: new X5 in Alpine White in Downtown Miami.

The roundel was blacked out still and it was following a red X3 with the msport package. Confused why the roundel was blacked out, though.

I have some crappy pics but don't know how to post.

Saw a space grey on the sea to sky hwy in Vancouver, bc area yesterday. Certainly not a m-sport trim.

It looked terrible. Such a disappointment.

Can anyone confirm the color of this car? Sparkling brown vs dark graphite?

Still haven't seen one in person, but I'm really not liking what I have seen in pics. Big disappointment, but that means I'll just keep my E70 which isn't a bad thing because I'm really happy with it. The new one looks like a boxy station wagon. The new family truckster?

Patarix,

How did you determine the color as Sophisto Grey or Dark Graphite?
From the last pic, it looks more brown to me.

Hello,

I found the pics on the unofficial Bmw Facebook page and apparently that was the description given by the person who took the shoot:
https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?...7087046&type=1

I'm not 100% sure of what kind of black that is, but I definetely don't see any brown on those photos, if you compare the paint to the black tires it's not very dissimilar. It could be that the white balance setting on the camera was a little off at some angles.

Take care,
Alessandro

If you check out the third of the six images, you can see the brown reflection on the trunk right below the glass - where the sun reflects.

Sparkling Brown is a very dark color - just like Sophisto Grey. Once the sun shines on it, the difference becomes obvious.

Hello Lifan,

After looking at the pics posted by Eu001939 (X5 closed room viewing pictures) I think you were right, it's most probably Sparkling Brown. I guess the sun angle and the car being a bit dirty contributed to make it look more blackish

I saw brown in person
It was on the road next to me for a little while
So I kind of observed it from all possible angles (had to change lane a few times lol)
This does not look sparkling brown
Not in any shots provided here
